in rm 26 for our writing we had the choice to write about a mammal,reptile,bird or insect  to create a A3 information poster i am going to write about the Komodo Dragon which is a reptile because theyre awesome

In rm 26 maths was part of our s.d.l we had to finish a basic facts sheet and a maths revision sheet they were quite easy especially the maths basic facts sheet

in maths we took a measurement test and i got simple angles wrong several times so thats what i worked on and it was really fun and easy, mr mcaven tought me a great strategy 

reading

In reading we read a text called timber we had to make a prediction about what we thought the story was about my prediction was it would be about trees and how they used them i was half right

yesterday Jordan,Hannah,Monique and i did our pals duty we were on kakano. As soon as we got there all the little kids started running over to us we started by playing basketball but some kids didn't know how to play so we changed it to duck duck goose we had about 15 people and they all knew how to play.

At technology food class made toastie cups we put butter on the bread then put it in a muffin tray and oven after about ten minutes we took it out and we had to decide what we wanted in in there was alot of variety ham,cheese,sweet corn,spaghetti and onion. We then put it back in the oven  for 8 minutes
it was very nice.

run bike run

on the 21st of march 2015 the kauri team went down to Halswell domain for run bike run we walked there. We had some police helping us cross the road because its very busy.The year 4s went first, while they went we played games organized  by house captains. You could choose if you were in the individual race or team race I chose team for no particular reason Nic ran the first and got us in first place he then tagged me in I did the biking and kept us in first place I then tagged Brad he finished in first place I was really happy with our result and it was really fun.

kapa haka

1 month ago kapa haka started everyone from the boys class (26) had to participate in it for the first term. You had the option to be in performance group or participation group performance is when you perform in front of big audiences participation is you just learn the moves and song but don't perform it in front of anyone, i really like the songs at kapa haka

peer mediation

peer mediation 2015 2 weeks ago i helped two children they were arguing over cheating in a game so they came to us we got both sides of the story and finally after 10 minutes we sorted out their problem with a wise solution it felt good helping them because we made their lunch time a better lunch time

maths in room 26 2015

For the year 7/8s in 2015 there's a new website for our maths homework called ixl its basically a more advanced version of mathletics with way more variety. If maths isn't really your thing then you can work at a lower year level if maths is one of your strengths then you can work above your year level with it starting at kindergarten level to year 13. Overall i really enjoy ixl and cant wait for an awesome year of maths.
